Through a Funding Round, an Acquisition and a Rebrand

The Challenge

The template kept breaking, so the team stopped touching it.

Blueflame AI builds agentic AI for investment firms: private equity houses, hedge funds and investment banks. The first job we took on was a small one. A template that kept breaking, and a marketing team that had stopped editing the site in case it broke further.

Then the company started moving. A funding round and a full redesign. An acquisition by Datasite in 2025. A Webflow Enterprise upgrade in January 2026, and a rebrand onto a new domain after it. Every one of those arrived with a website deadline attached.

Selling into private equity and investment banking raises the bar again. Those buyers run their own diligence before they agree to a call, so the credentials the company already held had to sit where a buyer looks rather than wait to be searched for.

The Solution

One system, built once and extended since.

Webflow Enterprise, Set Up Properly

The site moved onto the Webflow Enterprise plan in January 2026, with Optimize and Analyze switched on. Publishing a high-traffic enterprise site stays a deliberate human step: every CMS change we make is staged or drafted first, and the client team publishes.

A Component System Marketing Owns

Pages are assembled from a component library we built once and have extended ever since. The marketing team builds and edits without a developer in the loop, using page branching so the work happens safely on a live enterprise site.

Instrumentation Checked, Not Assumed

The measurement layer gets audited the same way the site does. Search Console was pointed at a hostname nobody lands on. Three of four conversion actions had recorded nothing for thirteen weeks. Eleven standing permissions were letting the ad platform change bidding on its own. All three were found and closed.

The Outcome

Eighteen months, one report format, no gaps.

Continuity Through Every Change

The company raised, was acquired by Datasite and rebranded onto a new domain during this engagement. The site kept shipping through all of it, and the monthly report has held the same format for eighteen months.

Same-Day on the Urgent Work

Standard requests are contracted at three to five business days. Urgent work is turned around the same day, in Slack, by the person doing the build. The team asks once and the work moves.

Mobile Speed Doubled in a Day

One day of performance work in February 2026 took the mobile speed score from 36 to 72, halved page weight from 2,458KB to 1,231KB, and cut the font payload 91% by stripping 11 of 13 variable axes and subsetting to Latin.

Structured Data Errors, 32 to 1

One crawl counted 32 errors in the site's structured data. The next counted one. Search and AI engines only read the markup they are given, so it gets checked on a schedule instead of being left to drift.
